Booked my stay at The Lalit Grand Palace Srinagar when I was on my family trip to Kashmir. All the arrangements at the hotel were up to the mark and we did not feel any issue. The room service, interiors, food and wellness facilities were really impressive. I would say it is one of the best 5 star hotels in Kashmir where one can enjoy a luxurious stay.

The Lalit Grand Palace Srinagar was a major disappointment, and I would not recommend it. Despite its grand exterior and location, my experience was far from enjoyable. The service was inadequate and inconsistent, with only a handful of staff members displaying a decent attitude toward guests. Most of the others were inattentive and seemed indifferent to providing a welcoming experience. Additionally, it appeared that several of the staff were trainees, which is understandable in any hotel, but the training was clearly in its early stages, as they lacked the skills and professionalism expected at a luxury property. The room itself didn’t meet the standards I anticipated. It felt dated, with amenities that were basic and insufficient, especially considering the high prices they charge. Cleanliness was not up to par, with dust in places that should be spotless. The overall management seemed disorganized, as requests were often delayed or ignored altogether. For the premium price, the experience was far below expectations. This place may have a historical charm, but it’s poorly managed and lacks the luxury service one would expect. I left feeling unsatisfied, disappointed, and convinced that I could have had a much better experience elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a truly comfortable and high-quality stay in Srinagar.

Stayed here to celebrate my girl friends b'day. They helped me with a cake, and some baloon decorations which was a pleasant surprise for me, but other than that the service was very cold. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and kinda expect a very warm hospitality which was lacking here. The rooms are expensive and I paid almost 25k for one night, and for this cost the service is definitely not at par. They can also improve the room service, they keep forgetting stuff and you generally have to remind them and the hotel wasn't even at 10% capacity.

A stunning hotel with beautiful location and history. We were kindly given a tour by the trainee manager who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his work. All staff were very friendly and the room very comfortable especially with the garden patio. The pool and spa area is a little dated; but comes with the heritage setting.

The only heritage five star property in the valley. It has a character and clearly sets itself apart from all other hotels.

My recent stay at The LaLiT Grand Palace in Srinagar was nothing short of magical. Set amidst breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains and overlooking the serene Dal Lake, this hotel feels like a regal retreat, offering both luxury and tranquility in equal measure. The property itself is a stunning blend of Kashmiri heritage and modern luxury. Housed in a historic palace, the hotel retains its grandeur with traditional architecture, beautifully landscaped gardens, and intricate woodwork. The rooms are spacious, elegantly furnished, and offer spectacular views of the Garden as we were on Ground Floor Super Deluxe Rooms with the balcony, making every moment spent inside feel like a luxurious escape. The staff at The LaLiT Grand Palace are truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. Every team member, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff, went out of their way to ensure that my stay was seamless and memorable. However, the worst part of the experience was the in-room dining service and the service at the restaurant. Both were unfortunately inconsistent, with delays in orders and a lack of attention to detail that didn’t meet the otherwise high standards of the hotel.Another major disappointment was the hotel’s handling of the Half Board (Dinner Inclusive) package. Despite paying the full charge for this package, guests are only allowed to order from a fixed menu. This was surprising and disappointing, as I expected more flexibility from such a high-rated hotel. This restriction felt more in line with a budget hotel than a luxury property, and it certainly didn’t align with the experience I was hoping for. On a more positive note, the food itself was generally of good quality! The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring Srinagar, being close to popular attractions like Mughal Gardens, Dal Lake, and the floating market. However, the peaceful atmosphere of the hotel itself makes it just as perfect for relaxation and unwinding after a day of sightseeing.Overall, The LaLiT Grand Palace Srinagar offers an unforgettable experience with its historic charm and stunning views. While the luxury setting, grandeur, and ambiance remain impressive, the service in the dining areas, combined with the rigid Half Board package policy, left something to be desired. I would still recommend it for its overall beauty and location but would advise the hotel to reconsider their dining service offerings to match the high standards expected from such a renowned property.

It's a remarkable heritage property spread into acres. Rooms are well maintained. Food quality is good however buffet dinner was not available due to low occupancy. The staff is well groomed and quite helpful. The location is just across Dal lake at a walking distance.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Lalit Grand Palace Srinagar, and I must say that it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways, and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Srinagar. The food at The Lalit Grand Palace Srinagar was amazing. I had the opportunity to try a few dishes, and each one was a delight. The Tandoori Chicken Pizza was a unique and delicious twist on traditional pizza, and the Café Latte was rich and flavorful. But the highlight of my dining experience was the Lalit Club Sandwich, which was a mouthwatering combination of flavors and textures.Overall, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Srinagar. The hotel's stunning views, delicious food, and excellent service make it a must-visit destination.

It is the worst place ever! I had a genuine family emergency (my grandmother expired) due to which I couldn't come for my planned stay in their hotel. They denied me any refund for the same. Even denied any adjustment / hotel credits.Do not expect such predatory behaviour from a luxury hotel chain such as this.

Pathetic Experience of Dining and Hospitality. We went there for the Lunch and they kept us waiting for more than an hour to serve the food. The waitress served the Breads 15 minutes before the Dish. On pointing out that the breads have got severely cold, she looked in despair to change the breads and further took 15 more minutes to replace them with fresh ones. The food didn’t taste good at all, the chicken in Butter Chicken was raw and the service was extremely not par with the stature of a luxury hotel. The experience was even below than an average hotel. We ended up leaving most of our ordered meal uneaten. Not at all worth the hype. You can definitely skip this one while in Srinagar.

Today we attended a buffet dinner at one of the finest hotels in Srinagar as part of a group comprising Guides, delegates, and families from TGFI. The experience was nothing short of exceptional. The location is breathtaking, with well-maintained gardens, majestic chinar trees, and meticulously groomed lawns and flower beds that offer a stunning and scintillating view. The atmosphere and ambience are incredibly inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of Kashmir. The food was both delicious and healthy, with a buffet menu that offered a wide variety of choices to suit different tastes. The quality of the food was top-notch, and the warm dishes were replenished promptly. The staff were extremely attentive, caring, and ensured that every need was met.Overall, our evening was made special by the combination of good food, excellent service, and the beautiful surroundings. It was a truly memorable experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with friends in such a picturesque setting.

I went there for Lunch and had a nightmare. Ordered a Tandoori Chicken Pizza and Chicken Soup. Awful taste and worst service. They even didn't bother to know how food tasted and honestly I had planned on telling the truth.I guess they already knew it was awful and then I asked for the bill and It came after half an hour.It was a horrific experience. May be lodging services are good but restaurant is pathetic.Don't go.

Horrible experience. My extra bed was placed in the room at 12.45. The FO had informed us about the extra charges but apparently they didn’t inform the HK team, bec of which so much delay. Upon informing the FO Suprajit was vv cold. V unprofessional. They restaurant is serving ( bluffing) their Kashmiri naans with tutti frutti cherries. Not authentic at all. V disappointed.

As per name the maintenance of rooms is poor. The taps drip, sink is blocked, plug points are non serviceable.Breakfast service is too slow.Ambience from the new wing room is feast to the eyes. Best view from room no. 1121.The land scrapping is well maintained. Expected better floral beds, more colorful. The chinar trees are well groomed. Massive and well placed. The entry path from main gate to reception is Royal and regal.Overall very good . Can be better if small things of maintenance are taken care . They can increase the price by rs 100 for better maintenance.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at the Chinar restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience. The ambiance of the place set the tone for a perfect evening. The thoughtful gesture and exceptional service provided by Anamika, our server, added a magical touch to our celebration. She made our anniversary memorable by arranging music that made the occasion truly special. We ordered Thai chicken curry, mushroom soup, and rice, all of which tasted exquisite.A big thank you to the Chinar team, and especially to Anamika, for making our special day even more memorable!

"Lalit Grand Palace Hotel" in Srinagar is a luxurious heritage property offering a blend of traditional Kashmiri architecture and modern amenities. It's known for its picturesque location, beautiful gardens, and stunning views of the Dal Lake and the Himalayas. The hotel provides top-notch hospitality services, including well-appointed rooms, fine dining options, spa facilities, and event spaces for weddings and conferences. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm hospitality and impeccable service and kawah as a complimentary drink which tastes great..The hotel itself is a stunning property, beautifully maintained and surrounded by lush gardens with breathtaking views of the Dal Lake and the Himalayas. My room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and meticulously clean, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. My recent stay at the luxurious hotel was an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to the exceptional service provided by Risalat. The hotel's better rooms offered a perfect blend of comfort and elegance, providing a serene retreat overlooking the majestic chinar trees.service was really awesome 👍😊.

We are currently staying here. This place is overpriced and clearly lacks warmth and hospitality hands down. The location is wonderful but the rooms and food grossly overpriced and with not even a basic welcome of guests when they arrive in this summer weather by offering a glass or bottle of water indicates something is way off. Hotels like Lalit want to charge like Oberoi in Srinagar but have hospitality that is below Lemon Tree.

Do yourself a favor and go to Taj next door. This property doesn’t offer the experience for this kind of property1. Quality of sleep: I could hear people in other room easily. Something u expect in 5 star hotel1. When we checked in; kettle in room was dirty. Wasn’t replaced despite asking twice3 one room wasn’t prepared properly

It's had it's own stature, though service is quite slow which I figured they have ttainee staff, food is average, the hotel iss best for luxury stay and view purpose only, or else food was quite average , rooms are Heritage style .kids enjoy the open space and the lawns.

Guards have zero knowledge and etiquettes towards guests and have no clue about how to talk or behave with guests, but I guess I don't blame them, this is how they were raised , anyways not coming to this hotel again, do better in customer service and give the guards some soft training including how to speak with guests

I recently visited Lalit Grand hoping to enjoy the restaurant and bar. Unfortunately, as a nonresidence guest, I was surprised to be stopped at the gate and required to walk nearly a kilometer to the hotel. Disappointingly, there wasn't any pickup and drop service offered. While I understand security protocols, the lack of accessibility for outside guests and the overall experience didn't seem to match the high price point advertised for the restaurant and bar.

Great property surroundings, poor rooms,(not worth paying half of its price), horrible service and worst hospitality i've experienced in recet past (esp after mayfair & leela holidays you could feel it more vividly), limited dining options . In true sense its a depressing property.
