Jdrums#3 wrote: 2 months agoI think it’s a smart move by the young man, Reef. He gets to practice against major college competition and get acclimated to the program and the university community. General High School Recruiting Discussion/Comments 2024-25 - Page 4 - KeaneyBlue (1)

And it’s a very smart move by this coaching staff and Archie Miller in particular

King was committed to playing a prep year after HS

So why not play at URI instead? Be part of the team, learn the offense, the defense and the culture

But another benefit is IF Thomas were to get injured ( and backup Always Wright is already injured) then King could come off of Redshirt status and play this year. Do King serves as an insurance policy.

Miller’s decision to go with 11 instead of 13 players provides him with flexibility as exhibited with King.

Miller is a smart guy

Also with him pegged to go to Hargrave Academy, another high profile prep that gets lots of exposure, was Archie worried about the Ben Hammond effect. Kid puts up big games on big stage and someone bigger comes calling.

I think that always has to be a concern now for someone who signs in the early period.

Wow! Archie and staff are suddenly very busy.

Nice!

School is open and the homework from Archie and staff is piling up. I need to do my homework on these prospects.

Get the KB study group together!

Looks like a raw prospect; but 7-1 is worth taking a flyer! First stop - the weight room.

Agreed, NHRamFan. Good use of a lower end spot of the roster.
